There are history and heritage attractions all over the borough, from Middleton’s mediaeval buildings to the original Co-op shop in Rochdale. Our parks, Hollingworth Lake, and East Lancs Steam Railway are ideal for family fun.
The stunning countryside ranges from flat fields and canalside walks near Middleton to rugged hills for mountain biking and horse riding near Littleborough.
If shopping’s your thing, all our town centres have high street names and independent shops, with markets in Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale. Littleborough and Milnrow have regular farmers’ markets, too.
There’s a thriving night-time buzz in Rochdale and the surrounding towns, with good restaurants and pubs all over the borough. Cinemas and theatres – professional and amateur – add to the entertainment mix, meaning there really is something for everyone right here in Rochdale.
