2012 United Nations International Year of Co-operatives

Rochdale, the World Capital of Co-operatives, will be hosting events across the borough throughout 2012 in celebration of the International Year of Co-operatives.

Rochdale was declared the ‘World Capital of Co-operatives’ at a global meeting of over 2,000 co-operators in Mexico in November 2011 – and now we’re ready to welcome visitors from all over the world to join in everything that’s taking place in the International Year of Co-operatives.
