Join Dr David Gelsthorpe, Curator of Earth Sciences at Manchester Museum on a journey through Rochdale’s ancient past. He will reveal the evidence for incredible 300 million year old fossils from scorpions to giant trees, how deserts covered the land and dinosaurs ruled the earth. There will be glimpses into the latest research on what dinosaurs looked like and what caused the mass extinction 66 million years ago.

The talk is 45 minutes long with additional time for questions.
