About

The church was consecrated on 2nd February 1911. Designed and built by Ninian Comper, the foremost church architect of the period, this building remains today as a magnificent example of his work. The Rood Screen, perhaps the most striking feature of the church, also designed by Comper, is heavily enriched with tracery and apostolic figures and is an excellent example of the woodcarver's art.
