Rochdale Town Hall is widely regarded as one of the finest Victorian town halls in Britain. It was completed in 1871 at a cost of £155,000. The Grand Staircase, the magnificent Great Hall, frescos, stained glass, statuary, ceramics and paintings all add to the grandeur of an exuberant expression of civic pride.

Public Transport Directions

Rochdale Interchange, which is served by buses from Manchester, Bury, Oldham, Middleton, Lancashire and Halifax, is just 450 yards from the town hall. The Metrolink terminates at the Rochdale Town Centre tram stop, which is next door to the interchange. Rochdale train station is 0.5 miles from the town hall - the 471 bus to the interchange and the Metrolink stop right outside.
