Theatre
Gracie Fields Theatre offers a range of entertainment from rock, pop, jazz and classical music to comedy, drama and dance. The Theatre is also host to the Rochdale Amateur Operatic Society and their wide variety of productions including concerts, plays and musicals.
Rochdale’s Curtain Theatre is an intimate venue close to the centre of town. The Curtain shows off the best of Rochdale’s amateur dramatic tradition, producing five shows a year.
Other venues with touring theatre productions include Middleton Arena and Heywood Civic Centre. The hub of the Arena is the state of the art auditorium, which regularly plays host to big name entertainers and comedians, including Lee Mack and Dave Spikey.
With a packed programme of live music, stage shows and concerts as well as the popular seasonal pantomime, it’s the perfect place to enjoy a show before rounding the night off in one of its two licensed bars.
Heywood Civic Centre, Heywood's premier venue for entertainment, regularly plays host to concerts, theatrical shows and business meetings.
Details of what’s happening at each of these venues can be found via the links, in the ‘What’s On’ section, or by contacting Rochdale’s Tourist Information Centre.
