About

A traditional Pennine hill farm set in 36 acres below the dramatic rocky skyline of Blackstone Edge with breathtaking views overlooking the moors, Hollingworth Lake and Whittaker Golf Course, Littleborough in the valley below with its shops, pubs, restaurants and railway station is only a 15 minute walk or a 5 minute drive away.

This barn conversion offers comfortable accommodation in 2 units, one for 2 people, the other for 4.

The first cottage comprises a spacious double bedroom with original beams, fully tiled shower room, open plan living/dining area with modern well equipped kitchen, woodburner, TV/DVD and wifi.

The second cottage has 2 bedrooms and a shower room upstairs, with an open plan ground floor, similar to cottage one, including a washing machine in the kitchen.

The cottages have underfloor heating in all rooms. There is a private, cobbled courtyard with private parking only yards away, with space for trailers and electric hook-up by arrangement.

This is an ideal location for outdoor enthusiasts.

Walks start from the door, onto the moors, down into the town or to Hollingworth Lake. The Pennine Way passes a mile and a half away, Blackstone Edge is an uncrowded, undiscovered gem.

There are cycle routes nearby to suit most ages and abilities; cycling around the back of the lake is flat and easy, the Rochdale Canal Towpath from Littleborough is a great way to explore the area, for those who want a more demanding route, the Pennine Bridleway is only half a mile from the farm.

Hollingworth Lake with its Water Activity Centre is a 20 minute walk or 10minute drive and Whittaker Golf Club is directly opposite.

We have 2 stables with ample grazing during the summer months and space for a trailer for visitors who wish to bring their own horses.

Fielden Farm offers the best of both worlds combining seclusion with easy access to motorway and rail networks; Junction 21 of the M62 is only a 10 minute drive away. Littleborough Station connects with regular trains, west into the city of Manchester with its many attractions in only 30 minutes; or east into West Yorkshire, to Hebden Bridge in 20 minutes and then to Halifax and Bradford with Leeds just over an hour away.
